The Fajr Club is a community interest company built around faith, sport, and charity in equal measure — five pillars, one purpose, and a story that began after Fajr.
Our Story
The Fajr Club started in 2021 as a cycling club — a small group of brothers riding together after Fajr, united by a shared love of the sport and a shared belief that it could be used for more than fitness. That first year of coffee rides and training grew into something bigger: long-distance charity challenge rides, first around Manchester, then further afield — Coast to Coast, Bosnia, the French Riviera, Andalusia — each one raising money for a cause we'd vetted and stood behind.
As the community grew, so did what we offered. Padel leagues and tournaments, running clubs, hiking and treks, and gym and fitness sessions joined cycling as pillars of the club, each one carrying the same post-Fajr spirit. What began as the Fajr Cycling Club became The Fajr Club — a community interest company (CIC) built around faith, sport, and charity in equal measure.
What We Do
We run a year-round programme across five pillars — padel, cycling, running, hiking, and fitness — through regular sessions, leagues, and tournaments, alongside flagship charity challenges like our annual overseas cycling ride and the Manchester 10K. Every event is open to the wider community, and every event ties back to a cause.
What We Believe
We believe sport is a means, not the end. Padel courts, running routes, mountain trails, and long rides abroad are all just settings for the same thing: bringing people together, building discipline, and turning that energy into a tangible difference for people who need it. Whether you're joining a Sunday coffee ride, a padel Americano, or training for your first 10K, you're part of that same effort.
